Developing Personal Style – Wednesdays 1-4 pm, March 4 to 25,2020 – Kensington Art Supply
Have you been painting for a while but are struggling to develop a style that is uniquely yours? The aim of this course is to help you figure out your own, personal aesthetic and integrate it into your paintings. Speed painting and simplifying will help you loosen up and you’ll learn why iterative practice can improve your painting ability quickly. In class you’ll begin creating a cohesive body of work . We’ll start you on a journey to hone your style to more accurately reflect you and to hopefully, give more creative satisfaction.

Supplies: Set of acrylic paints, palette, paint brushes (I recommend at least a 1″ flat, 2″ and a few smaller brushes)16″x 20 pad of canvas paper or gessoed watercolour paper, up to 4 canvases, roll of paper towel, sketch/note book, a watercolour crayon, fine permanent marker, 2-4 plastic binder sleeves, reference photos of artist’s works that inspire you (6 to 10), reference photos of things you want to paint.
